FORT BELVOIR, Va. (20 April 2011) - PEO Soldier has recently developed new videos highlighting the proper care of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and load bearing equipment such as the Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) and the proper cleaning and maintenance procedures for each system.

These videos will also be distributed to all Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV)/Soldier Plate Carrier System (SPCS) fielding events as an additional training aid for units to use for Sergeant's time training and any other hip pocket training events.

The videos collectively are approximately 60 minutes in length from start to finish, and are based off of the original IOTV instructional video created in 2008. The instructional videos give a brief description of the system including its task and purpose and an inventory of the components of the system. The videos address the proper donning and doffing of the equipment, emergency donning and doffing, proper fit, adjusting each vest using the buddy system and proper cleaning techniques.
