Any American can give the gift of connection now and throughout the New Year to troops far from home with All Services Exchange phone and gift cards.
Cards range from $10 to $500. Individuals and organizations can purchase up to 100 cards with just a click of the mouse at www.shopmyexchange.com or quick phone call to 800-527-2345.
People who don't personally know a deployed military person but want to help can purchase and send cards through the Exchange online site www.shopmyexchange.com. Select the "Support Troops" tab and click "Gift Certificates and Cards for Our Troops" or "Help Our Troops Call Home." From there, individuals and civic groups can send a card to an individual service member or select a distributing charity such as the Red Cross or USO.
Currently, the Exchange partners with six philanthropic organizations to ensure the support reaches the service members to whom it can most benefit. Exchange calling cards can provide more than two hours of talk time from Afghanistan or Iraq to the United States for just $22.
Receiving gift or calling cards boosts morale, especially for those deployed. In fact, there are 81 stores and more than 200 food vendors in contingency locations including Afghanistan and Iraq. People interested in sending gift or calling cards can do so by calling the Exchange at 800-527-2345 or logging on to www.shopmyexchange.com.
