FORT RUCKER, Ala. -- Army Entertainment announces a casting call now through Dec. 31 in the Fort Rucker Community for the "Who-Dun-It" Comedy Murder Mystery called Murder 101.

The Directorate of Family and Welfare, and Recreation is looking for 20 volunteers to help provide entertainment to Soldiers and Families for this dinner theater.

Volunteers do not have to be trained actors and participation is open to active duty, retired servicemembers, Department of Defense employees and their Family members.

"This is your time to shine on stage," said Brian Jackson, DFMWR recreation delivery systems program manager. "We will have two trained professionals in the theatrical field teaching important techniques and role playing. All volunteers will receive a dinner on both nights of the show."

Murder 101 is an interactive comedy murder mystery set at a class reunion of a closing high school. As the various alumni gather to say goodbye to their beloved alma mater, old rivalries and new alliances add up to an evening of murder and mayhem.

All actors will be required to attend all rehearsals from Jan. 24-27 and both shows Jan. 28-29.

"We want 100 percent commitment to provide the best murder mystery event we can," said Jackson. "We want enthusiastic, motivated individuals to take part in this event."

Rehearsals will include workshop/rehearsal review, theatre and living logic puzzle concept, demonstrations and formal theatre games, body language, vocal projection, improv techniques, character presentations, telling the truth of the characters, placement of props and clues briefing, interrogations, motivations and resolution of costume issues, walk through story line and pulling it all together.

Rehearsal Times are 5 -9 p.m. Jan. 24-26 at the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers Bldg. 6813, Dust Off Street, and 6-10 p.m. Jan. 27 at The Landing.

The show is Jan. 28 and 29 at The Landing Ballroom from 6 to 9:45 p.m. and actors should expect to be there at 5 p.m.
