Top U.S. Army NCO leads run on Yongsan Garrison

YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea - "It was a small run but it was a great run," said Sergeant Major of the Army Kenneth O. Preston following an early morning NCO run here Nov. 29.

Preston led the NCO run on Yongsan Garrison during a visit to South Korea. Preston ran in front together with Command Sgt. Maj. Robert A. Winzenried, command sergeant major of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea,

American and South Korean NCOs from all over the Korean Peninsula gathered near Collier Field House to run with the Army's top NCO.

"On behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. George W. Casey Jr. and Secretary of the Army, the Honorable John McHugh, and all the senior leaders back at the Pentagon, we are proud of what you do here every day," said Preston.

To thank the NCOs serving in South Korea, Preston awarded coins and took pictures with each unit.
