FORT BRAGG, N.C. - On Oct. 14, 2010, 64 paratroopers, from the 82nd Airborne Division, honored the 33 rescued Chilean miners during a jump on Fort Bragg, N.C.

Jumpers from the 82nd Division, Special Troops Battalion, joined Chilean Army Col. Cristian Guedelhoefer, who was the primary jumpmaster, in dedicating the jump to honor the rescued Chilean miners.

"Now, the 82nd Airborne is part of the rest of the world who has expressed their feelings and happiness after these long 69 days under 2,066 feet underground," Guedelhoefer said. "Thanks again in the name of my country, my Army and my fellow citizens."
