Army Concert Tour rocks crowd at Fort McCoy's Constitution Park

FORT McCOY, Wis. -- Attendees at the Fort McCoy Army Concert Tour performance Aug. 7 at Constitution Park were entertained by groups with a long history of hits.

Sammy Hagar and the Wabos and Creed headlined the 2010 performance, with special guest Theft.

A crowd of 8,031 attended, according to the Fort McCoy Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Included in the concert totals were almost 1,500 Soldiers who redeemed vouchers to receive free tickets courtesy of the Army Family Covenant.

Audience members appeared to enjoy the entertainment, and Fort McCoy already is making plans to host an Army Concert Tour performance in 2011.

The concert's national sponsors included I. A.M. STRONG, Boost Mobile, and GM Military Discount. I. A.M. STRONG is a campaign about preventing sexual assault and harassment in the U.S. Army.
