A departure and award ceremony hosted by Col. Carlen J. Chestang, Jr, chief of staff for Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region and The U.S. Army Military District of Washington in honor of Capt. David Salinas, Jr. protocol officer was held June 1, 2010. Salinas received The Army Commendation Medal for exceptional meritorious service while serving as protocol officer from Nov. 3, 2008 to June 1, 2010.
