Fort Knox, Ky. — Ghouls, goblins and costumed heroes turned out across Fort Knox to satisfy their cravings for sweets during back-to-back Halloween celebrations.
The festivities kicked off Oct. 30 with a collaborative trunk-or-treat event hosted by Fort Knox mission partners. Designed specifically to provide a safe, family-friendly evening for mission-partner families and installation residents, the event brought units and agencies together as volunteers decorated trunks and handed out treats.
Halloween excitement continued Oct. 31 as neighborhoods across post opened for designated trick or treating from 6 to 8 p.m. Adding to the holiday spirit, both evenings experienced unseasonably warm weather, with temperatures climbing into the 70s on Oct. 30 and remaining in the mild 60s on Oct. 31, a welcome break from the usual autumn chill.
