In compliance with The Army Physical Security Program, the use of image and video capturing devices, including trail cameras, is prohibited in all hunting and training areas on Fort Knox.
The only exception is for photographs of an individual with recently harvested game, provided the photos are taken in an unrestricted location.
All personnel who have placed cameras in hunting/training areas must retrieve them no later than April 1. Proper advanced coordination with the Natural Resources Branch is required for retrieval. Any unauthorized cameras discovered after April 1 will be confiscated and disposed of.
As an additional measure to clarify this requirement, Fort Knox Regulation 200-3 (Fort Knox Hunting and Fishing) will be updated accordingly. This announcement serves as a courtesy to ensure all hunters are aware of the enforcement of The Army Physical Security Program requirements.
