FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz. – The Army’s continual evolution to meet modern challenges includes communications security, known as COMSEC, services. For this reason, the Communications Security Logistics Activity is transforming the way they will deliver support during FY26 and beyond.

These changes reaffirm CSLA’s commitment to reassuring its customers regarding seamless COMSEC support as they implement this realignment with minimal disruption to the valued COMSEC community.

As part of its evolution to meet modern COMSEC challenges, CSLA is realigning its focus areas. Their traditional sustainment and logistics functions will remain with the Communications-Electronics Command Integrated Logistics Support Center, while their COMSEC operational missions will be realigned to the CECOM U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command.

Importantly, both the ILSC and USAISEC are subordinate commands within CECOM, meaning that all COMSEC work will remain under the same Command. This allows for continued collaboration and synergy across the enterprise.

To reflect this transition, the following name changes will be implemented during FY26:

  • COMSEC operational missions realigning under USAISEC will be known as the Communications Security Directorate.
  • COMSEC sustainment and logistics functions remaining with the ILSC will be designated the Tactical Radios and Cryptographic Systems Branch.

This realignment will be a transition, not an abrupt change, and it will occur in gradual steps. Although there will be some adjustments, COMSEC customers will engage with their existing points of contact and maintain those lines of communication.

This focused approach will enhance CSLA’s effectiveness and strengthen its ability to support all COMSEC missions. CSLA remains committed to addressing any challenges and supporting the continued success and mission readiness of its customers.

With these changes to CSLA, the same dedicated personnel will continue to provide high-quality support. COMSEC support remains a team effort, and CSLA is better equipped than ever to provide it.
