We invite you to the Days of Toruń

“A celebration of all of us” – under this slogan we will celebrate the Days of Toruń 2025 for eight days.

- We want this year's Days of Toruń to refer to the history, identity and cultural heritage of our city. That is why the slogan of the event is "A celebration of all of us" - through these words we emphasize that this is a joint celebration of residents, supporters, friends of the city and all those who have any connection with Toruń - said President Paweł Gulewski during a press briefing that took place on June 3, 2025.

- This very rich program of the Days of Toruń is an invitation to the residents to spend time together in a joyful way. It is worth emphasizing that a significant part of the events take place on the Vistula River, which means that we are opening up to the Vistula traditions and including them in the celebrations of the name day of the patron saint of Toruń, St. John - said the chairman of the Toruń City Council Łukasz Walkusz, at the same time inviting the residents of Toruń to take part in the prepared attractions.

In 2025, the City Festival will begin on Thursday, June 19 with the Castle Fair. This unique event transformed the city into a vibrant festival, where history and culture met in one, joyful kaleidoscope of emotions.

The official ceremonies began with solemn speeches by the President of Bolesławiec and the Commander of USAG Poland, which introduced everyone to the atmosphere of this historic celebration. - Celebrating the 250th birthday of the Army in Bolesławiec is not just about history - it is about friendship, trust and showing that we stand shoulder to shoulder with our Polish allies. Our shared history dates back to Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kaimir Pulaski, who helped establish the United States Army during the Revolutionary War 250 years ago. The birth of our Army is the birth of an unbreakable bond with our Polish allies, and that is why there is no place I would rather celebrate the 250th birthday of the Army than here. The bonds of social cooperation enable the implementation of our mission, and the city of Bolesławiec is an exceptional partner - said Colonel Jesse Chace , Commander of USAG Poland.

- …Today, the presence of American soldiers in Poland, also here – in Bolesławiec – is not only a matter of security, but also an expression of mutual trust. We appreciate that you are here: away from your homes and families. And I hope that you feel welcome in Bolesławiec. You are part of our community – you participate in the life of the city, building bonds that are getting stronger every day. Our partnership is not just about joint exercises. It is a shared responsibility for a world based on values. In the year when Poland celebrates over 1,000 years of statehood, we know how precious a gift freedom is – and how important those who defend it are – emphasized the president of Bolesławiec, Piotr Roman .

Then, the symbolic cutting of the birthday cake and the joint singing of "Sto lat" and "Happy Birthday" became the culmination of this special moment, connecting generations and emphasizing the lasting ties between us and the allied army.

The 250 years of the American Army's presence in our region is not only an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, but also a great opportunity for joyful fun, music and surprises. In specially prepared zones, it was possible to learn even more about the fascinating history and culture of the American Army, and numerous attractions, joint dances and inspiring meetings made this day remain in the memory of residents and guests for a long time.

Bolesławiec showed that day that history, tradition and friendship are the driving forces that build bridges across borders. It is truly an unforgettable birthday celebration, full of joy, inspiration and joint celebration – because together we create history!
