Open-Air Cinema Series Returns to Poznań’s Free Courtyard on June 27

Once again, Poznań residents will be able to spend summer evenings with good films outdoors. The first screening of the #NaWolnym cinema will take place on June 27. Subsequent screenings - every Friday until the end of August. Admission to all of them is free.

The first screening will take place on June 27, at 9:30 p.m. in the Free Courtyard of the City Hall - Plac Kolegiacki 17 (all subsequent screenings will also take place there). Viewers will be able to see "Dune”. This is an American-Canadian science fiction film from 2021 directed by Denis Villeneuve, telling the story of the noble Atreides family, which comes to the titular planet. Dune is the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe, which not only prolongs life, but also allows interstellar travel and looking into the future.

July 4, 9:30 p.m. "Emilia Pérez"

Drug lord Manitas del Monte decides to radically change his life. With the help of lawyer Rita (Zoe Saldaña - Oscar for best supporting actress), she plans to fake her own death and undergo gender reassignment surgery, becoming Emilia Perez (Karla Sofía Gascón). After the transformation, Emilia wants to correct the wrongs she has done by engaging in charity work for the victims of the cartels. However, her past does not let her forget about herself.

July 11, 9:30 p.m. "Conclave"

After the death of a Pope hated in the Vatican, cardinals from all over the world gather for a conclave to choose a new leader of the Church. During the deliberations, compromising secrets of the candidates begin to be revealed. Just before the voting begins, an unknown Cardinal Benitez, a mysterious associate of the deceased Pope, appears among the deliberators. The film received an Oscar for best adapted screenplay.

July 18, 9:30 p.m. "Tomorrow will be ours"

"Tomorrow Will Be Ours" is Paola Cortellesi's black-and-white directorial debut, set in post-war Rome in 1946. The film presents the story of female emancipation in a world where domestic violence is commonplace, and women's suffrage is only just becoming a reality. At the same time, he enters the warpath, burning with a desire for revenge on the conspirators who led to the downfall of his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, Paul wants to prevent a tragic future that only he can predict.

Free Concerts at Lake Strzeszyńskie to Kick Off Summer in Poznań

On Friday and Saturday there will be concerts as part of the "Na Falach" series.

These will be the first concerts this year in a series organized by the city. On Friday, June 20, The Dumplings will appear on stage. On Saturday, Błażej Król and Kathia will take over the stage. The concerts will start at 8:00 p.m. and admission is free.

Due to the events, public transport will be reinforced. - On line no. 146, buses will run an extended route to Strzeszynek until the end of the service. Online no. 160, all services from Garbary PKM stop from 6:00 p.m. until the end of the service will be extended to Strzeszynek. Online no. 195, additional services will be provided after 9:00 p.m. - informs the Public Transport Authority. If the concerts are extended, MPK will direct additional buses to Strzeszynek after 10:00 p.m.

This year there will be two more concerts in the series - on August 8 and 9. Cleo and Hubert will perform then.

Supercar Charity Rally Positive Ways to Stop in Poznań June 20–21

Once again, the greatest Polish motoring enthusiasts will cover several hundred kilometers in a few days behind the wheel of supercars, visiting several cities. One of them will be Poznań.

"Positive Ways” is a project created from our shared passion for cars and the desire to help sick and needy children. Since 2013, we have been gathering owners of sports cars, the number of which is growing on our roads every year. We give them the opportunity to participate in breathtaking automotive expeditions. Our escapades are full of adrenaline and unique experiences. Positive Ways was initiated by people who devote their hearts and souls to four wheels" - the organizers write about themselves.

Positive Ways representatives will visit the capital of Wielkopolska on June 20. Supercars will be available for viewing at 4:00 p.m. in the very center of the city - at Stary Browar. The following day, at 11:00 a.m., they will appear at Tor Poznań - admission is to be free. The event in Poznań is under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Poznań.

At 5:00 p.m., also on June 21, a meeting is planned in Wrocław, at the Centennial Hall - admission here is also to be free. On June 22, the participants will appear in Zator, on the grounds of Energylandia. Their expedition will end on June 24 in Szczyrk.

Poznań Pride March Set for Saturday, Traffic Disruptions Expected

Last year, approximately 5,000 people took part in the event.

This year may be similar. This coming Saturday, the XXI Prode March will take place in our city. The start is planned for 2:00 p.m. from the vicinity of Mickiewicz Park. Participants will walk along Al. Niepodległości, Solna Street, Garbary to Królowej Jadwigi, and then return to Al. Niepodległości and end the march at the starting point. The whole thing is supposed to last about 3 hours and traffic disruptions should be expected - we will provide more details on epoznan.pl.

Like last year, the event is organized not only by the Stonewall Group, but also by the City of Poznań and Estrada Poznańska. Before the march, at 11:00 a.m., a Pride Picnic will take place at Mickiewicz Square. The march may attract several thousand people.

World Squash Stars to Compete in Polish Team Championship at Galeria Posnania

AGROBEX Polish Team Squash Championship 2025 again in Poznań!

In the heart of Poznań, in the spectacular setting of Galeria Posnania, we will once again see the best of squash. On 24-28 June 2025, the city will become the capital of this dynamic discipline, all thanks to the AGROBEX Polish Team Squash Championships. The tournament, hosted once again by the Poznań 11punkt squash club, is the absolute highlight of the season - an event that cannot be missed.

This will not be an ordinary tournament - this is squash at the highest world level. The glass central court, which will be located in the Crystal Forum - Galeria Posnania, promises an exceptional spectacle. The same court, on which last year the Poznań team SNS Foods 11punkt Girl's & Men's Crew reached for double gold, will once again be the place where the best of the best compete.

A real sports feast awaits the fans. The championship will feature 16 men's and 8 women's teams from all over Poland, as well as a galaxy of international stars:

It's not just sporting excitement - it's a real celebration of squash. From 24 to 28 June, Galeria Posnania will transform into a vibrant event center. Everyone - regardless of age and level of advancement - will be able to try the game on a glass court, take advantage of the advice of coaches, take part in competitions or watch exhibition matches with the participation of stars.

The biggest excitement awaits June 26-28, when the final matches will take place almost continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Entry for fans is completely free, and for those who cannot be there - a professional live broadcast with expert commentary is planned.
