Team CECOM,
Earlier this week, we hosted a CECOM Town Hall, which covered several significant topics, including our updated command Emergency Action Plan, how CECOM plans to modernize our use of data, and essential updates on some of the changes to our working environment. We also had a very candid question-and-answer portion, which was very useful. Our G1 teammates have been working to provide resources, guidance, and frequently asked questions on their SharePoint page. This site will also include questions and answers from our Town Hall. Many of your questions will be addressed as G1 continues to populate and update this resource.
During the town hall, Drew Rehkop, who is at the helm of the CECOM Transformation Directorate, discussed his team’s recent efforts and future intent. Transformation is a critical subject for our workforce, and we must acknowledge the Army’s urgent need and ability to adapt rapidly to future conflicts against many potential adversaries. For us at CECOM, that means we need to focus on making this command indispensable to the larger, continuously modernizing Army. I highly encourage our CECOM Soldiers, Civilians, and contractors to read the following three articles.
Written by GEN James Rainey, commanding general of U.S. Army Futures Command, these products give an in-depth analysis of transformation for our force: Transformation in Contact, Deliberate Transformation, Concept Driven Transformation.
Preparing the next generation for Army public service remains a priority for CECOM, and as a result, our G1 is currently recruiting APG-based volunteers to serve as panelists for this year’s P-TECH Mock Interviews at APG’s Mallette Training Facility, 13 MARCH from 0900 – 1200. The Pathways to Technology Early College High School, or P-TECH, program supports local high school students through a technical and work-based learning environment focusing on STEM. P-TECH is an enriching and prominent program for the Army, CECOM, and our local community. Volunteers will interview students and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Please ensure you work with your supervisor before volunteering. If interested, please get in touch with Ms. Casi Boyer from our CECOM G1. CECOM mentors and volunteers play a pivotal role in this program, impacting the lives of what we hope will be our future Army workforce.
If you weren’t aware, our SEC team has provided critical support to the Army’s new My Army Post App, also known as MAPA. It is replacing the Digital Garrison append is a tremendous resource to discover and explore timely and accurate information about your home station. MAPA offers real-time installation updates, gate traffic information, and on-post dining options. As the CECOM team returns to in-person work at APG and other Army installations, I hope you will download and utilize the new MAPA. Please use the QR code to download MAPA.
To all our teammates worldwide, thank you for your unwavering support, dedication, and commitment to this command and our Army.
