FORT KNOX, Ky. — Fort Knox Middle High School boasted a strong showing in The News-Enterprise 2024 All-Area Team fall sports recognitions season, with two top accolades, multiple team placements and honorable mentions.
This local recognition program is a decades long tradition that began in the 1970s. It highlights athletes from Fort Knox Middle High School as well as high schools in Hardin, Meade and LaRue counties. At the end of each season athletes who were nominated by coaches in the area are voted on through district coach ballots and a panel of The News-Enterprise staff. All coaches from the area are automatically entered into the Coach of the Year nomination category; however, coaches are not permitted to vote for their own athletes.
