CECOM ILSC Features an AMC Employee of the Quarter

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. – When Army Materiel Command recently recognized 12 employees from across the enterprise as Employees of the Quarter, the CECOM Integrated Logistics Support Center was proud to present Ms. Xiao Wang as one of the honorees.

According to AMC, Ms. Wang was recognized for “(leading) efforts for several training sessions covering 1,760 National Stock Numbers to influence and level set first-time workflows with all stakeholders and make corrections to gain efficiency and accuracy.” Ms. Wang’s endeavors were perfectly in line with advancing the enterprise’s mission while fostering a culture of achievement of productivity that AMC places such high value on and rewards accordingly.

Ms. Wang began her government career in 2008, and she held numerous important positions supporting the Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors Directorate at the ILSC for 13 years. After two years in the Power & Environmental Directorate, Ms. Wang transitioned to the Logistics and Technical Support Directorate in 2023, where she has thrived.

As an Equipment Specialist Team Lead, Ms. Wang supports numerous power systems and oversees Product Managers in Force Sustainment, Mobile Power Sources, and several other systems. As Ms. Wang describes it, “I see my role as key to ensuring effective supply support and lifecycle sustainment for fielded weapon systems. Leading a talented team allows me to blend technical expertise with soft skills, using data-driven decisions to guide our work.”

Ms. Wang’s ability to manage this demanding work and inspire her teammates around her to perform to their highest levels have been a boon to the provisioning profession, and the ILSC feels that her honor was AMC was an excellent way to recognize her contributions to a positive work environment and the outstanding results that her teams were able to achieve.

Said Ms. Wang, “I am deeply honored to accept this recognition, not only for myself but also on behalf of the exceptional mentors, leaders, and teammates who have shaped me both professionally and personally throughout my career. I would especially like to thank my teammates in the Logistics Technical Services Directorate, Logistics Data Division, and Combat Aviation Power Branch for their unwavering support and encouragement.”

Ms. Wang and her teams are advancing the ILSC mission by upskilling and modernizing tools and processes to effectively meet the challenges of the Army of 2035, and Ms. Wang says that her focus has been on streamlining both internal and external workflows that will ensure alignment with current and future provisioning policy and procedures. Ms. Wang currently leads multiple efforts to mentor and educate stakeholders and team members. She says, “We are building future talent with a focus on making our organization a center of excellence for soldier support, stock availability, and unit readiness.”

A placard honoring the work of Ms. Wang and the other AMC Employees of the Quarter is currently being displayed at AMC Headquarters in Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Integrated Logistics Support Center once again congratulates one of their own, Ms. Xiao Wang, on being named an AMC Employee of the Quarter. Ms. Wang personifies the tireless work ethic that is intertwined with the ILSC mission of always delivering for the warfighter to enhance its mission readiness and capability.
