Installation Status for Thursday, February 20, 3:27 p.m.
US Army Garrison Redstone will return to full, normal operations for Thursday, February 20. Employees should contact their supervisors and respective agencies for any specific instructions.
Inclement Weather Expected for Tennessee Valley, February 18, 3:39 p.m.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Redstone Arsenal commuting area. Schools in the area are closed tomorrow, Wednesday February 19. Please leave work Tuesday prepared to telework or as your Agency directs. Only gates 8 (corner of Drave Ave. and Patton Rd) and 9 (Rideout Rd) will be open.
~The One Stop will be closed. A staff member will reach out to reschedule appointments for CAC/I.D. cards.
~All Childcare facilities will be closed as well as other MWR facilities - golf, gyms, flying. (accept those with access to Scott Fitness Center)
~Fox Army Health Center will close Wednesday but scheduled patients will be seen by virtual appointment.
~ The Commissary/DECA will close Wednesday.
~ Only the Goss Rd. shopette will be open for fuel but all other AAFES facilities will close.
~Decisions for Wednesday evening MWR activities will be published Wednesday afternoon.

Redstone Arsenal will Delay Two Hours Opening Tomorrow, Tues., Jan. 21, 2025 2:28 p.m.
Redstone Arsenal will delay reporting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, two hours. Installation operations will open at 10 a.m. Gate operations will remain on normal schedule. Childcare Centers will open at 9:30 a.m. for drop-offs. We will reschedule ID Card and orders appointments.

REAL I.D. Deadline Quickly Approaching, Wednesday, January 15, 2025
If you enter Redstone Arsenal with a driver's license, you have until May 7 to acquire a REAL I.D. with the gold star on the front. If you enter the installation with a common access card or other agency credential, that serves as your identification.

Digital Garrison App Sunsets this Month -- Tuesday, January 7, 2025
The Digital Garrison App created by the Army and Air Force Exchange will sunset at the end of this month. The new application, designed by the Army Software Directorate is called My Army Post and can be downloaded from your app store. Redstone Arsenal leadership look forward to feedback on the new app from the workforce.
Change in Gate Security -- Friday, January 3, 2025
Enhanced security measures have been implemented at all military installations, including here at Redstone Arsenal. These measures include the temporary suspension of Facial Recognition, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and the Trusted Traveler Program. Effective immediately, every individual in the vehicle will need an agency identification card to gain access to Redstone Arsenal. Those who do not have an agency ID Card (DoD, DoJ, Homeland, NASA, etc.) will need to go through the Visitor Control Center at Gate 9, Rideout road. Commuters should make arrangements in advance for this situation and allow for extra time when accessing Redstone Arsenal, especially during high-traffic times. Event Advisory -- Friday, October 11, 2024 515 a.m.
Spectators (18 years of age or older) attending the Alabama State Senior Bowling Tournament on Redstone Arsenal this weekend Oct. 11 through 13, will need to be registered with the Redstone Arsenal access control office prior to accessing the installation. To register, scan the attached QR code; register in the Redstone Arsenal sponsorship portal. The system will conduct a criminal history check and register you in the access control system. Final approval may take up to 24 hours if registration is completed after normal operating hours of the Visitor Control Center (7:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m. Monday through Friday). Normal processing time during operating hours is between 30 minutes and 2 hours. Upon arriving at the gate, the customer will need to provide the guard with their driver’s license to be scanned. Do not bring firearms, weapons, and illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia onto Redstone Arsenal. Road Advisory -- Wednesday, October 9, 2:02 p.m.
Gate 8, at the intersection of Drake and Patton roads, is repaired. Redstone Arsenal will resume normal Gate 8 and Gate 10 operations effective Thursday, October 10, 2024. Normal operations are as follows: Gate 10 will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Gate 8 will open at 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Gate 8 will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Gate 10 is closed on weekends.
Road Advisory -- Sunday, October 6, 1:54 p.m.
Gate 8, at the intersection of Drake and Patton roads, will remain closed for the next several days because of construction. In the interim, Gate 10, at Patton road South, will be open from 5:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.

A section of Martin Road, in the vicinity of the AMC Parade Field, will be closed Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for the retirement ceremony for Marion Whicker, Army Materiel Command executive deputy to the commanding general.

Gate 8, on Drake Avenue/Goss Road, is closed through Sunday for road resurfacing. In the interim, Gate 10, on Jordan Lane/Patton Road, is open from 5:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Gate 8 will reopen as normal on Monday
Noise Alert -- Thursday, September 26, 6:01 p.m.
Due to inclement weather conditions Redstone Arsenal will invoke liberal leave/telework tomorrow, Friday, September 27 and release all non-key and mission essential personnel at 12 p.m. All Gates will operate as normal. Only Garrison life/health/safety related services will remain after 12 p.m. Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation activities (i.e., child development centers, fitness centers, etc.) will close NLT 1 p.m. School Age Service buses will not run. Tenant organizations are encouraged to invoke their liberal leave/telework policies and make independent early release calls as well. All employees should be in close contact with supervisors to ensure they have the latest information and instructions.
Regretfully, the Redstone Retirement Ceremony will be cancelled tomorrow. It will be rescheduled for a future date.
