Trams and bus routes see end of renovations
We would like to remind you that the main renovation works on the roof at the Junikowo terminal are coming to an end.
"Thanks to the reconstruction, the characteristic shelter at the Junikowo station will serve passengers for years to come. The solution currently used better protects the roof structure from degradation. Its interesting form has been preserved, and at the same time, its ergonomics and aesthetics have been improved," informs Bartosz Trzebiatowski.
Minor works will still be carried out in the area of the terminal, but they will not affect communication.
On Saturday, September 21, regular tram communication between Junikowo and Budziszyńska will be restored from the first runs. "The terminal will be reached by trams of lines no. 1, 13 and 15, while Budziszyńska (as before the renovation) will be served by tram line no. 6. Shuttle line no. 91 will cease to operate," informs the spokesman.
In addition, buses no. 122, 177, 715, 716, 727, 803 and night lines no. 214, 224 and 257 will run to the Junikowo station, where the final stop will be located. On line no. 710, the departure times will be adjusted on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (the number of trips will not change).
"On line no. 715, from September 23 (Monday), buses will arrive at the stop at School no. 2 in Plewiska," the spokesman added.
We would like to remind you that the repair of the track crossing at the intersection of Reymonta and Wyspiańskiego streets will also be completed on Friday, September 20.
Copernicus Space Station comes to Poznań
A multimedia exhibition titled "Copernicus Space Station" started on Saturday.
The exhibition offers a number of unique attractions and educational zones. At the Copernicus Space Station, participants will be able to take part in four multimedia shows: the Solar System, the launch of a space shuttle, the birth of a star and a meteorite shower. Additionally, interactive installations are available, which will engage both younger and older guests with their cosmic curiosities.
"The Copernicus Space Station exhibition is a completely new quality on the map of Central and Eastern Europe. Thanks to the proprietary Virtual Art Senses technology, participants will have the opportunity to move to a world where the border between reality and the virtual world is almost invisible. Interactive installations, holograms and projections create an immersive space that will surprise and inspire both children and adults. Thanks to advanced technology and projections on surfaces with a total size of 600 m², combined with excellent sound, the organizers offer guests experiences that go beyond our imagination, " the organizers announce. " The first exhibition of its kind in Poland offers something that has never been seen before - interactive projections and sensory experiences that take the viewer right into the middle of space adventures," they add.
The exhibition was organized in the Iglica on the MTP grounds. It will last until the end of January 2025. You can visit the event from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from Friday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Poznań named the healthiest city in Poland
Poznań is the healthiest city in Poland! In the third edition of the Healthy Cities Index - a list created by experts from the Warsaw School of Economics, the Krakow University of Economics and the LUX MED Group - we took first place. Although, just like in the Tour de France, winning the overall ranking is what counts, stage successes are also pleasing. Poznań was appreciated in the "Health" category - for health and prevention programs, among others, and in the "Environment" category for combating smog, access to public transport, a network of bicycle paths and green areas. These are areas in which we have been investing for years to improve the quality of life in our city - wrote Jacek Jaśkowiak on social media.
Specialists analyzed 66 cities with county rights, paying attention to the following areas: health, population and generations, municipal and social services, education, housing, environment, infrastructure and space. Among the largest cities, Poznań overtook Warsaw and Gdańsk. - The index organizers also awarded distinctions to cities that took the highest places in each of the eight areas studied. The capital of Wielkopolska made it to the podium twice - inform officials.
