Important construction work in Poznań and changes in public transport
Przybyszewskiego and Marcelińska Streets
An additional lane will be designated on the Marcelińska Street, at the intersection with Przybyszewskiego Street. This will improve the smoothness and safety of the journeys.
Work on the introduction of changes will begin this week. They will be conducted in the evenings and at night to minimize the associated traffic difficulties.
Solna Street
In Poznań, one of the main communication arteries of the city is underway. Renovation works on the southern roadway of Solna Street are entering the next phase, which is associated with changes in the organization of road traffic.
From July 30, drivers moving along Solna Street in the direction of Garbary and Estkowskiego streets will benefit from the newly renovated right lane of the road. At the same time, the left lane will be excluded from use on the section from Kościuszki Street to Aleje Marcinkowskiego.
These changes entail a number of road traffic modifications. Drivers leaving Aleje Marcinkowskiego will not be able to turn left into Solna Street – there will be an order to turn right. For vehicles wishing to continue driving in the opposite direction, a detour was determined through the Wielkopolski Square, 23 Lutego Street, Cyryla Ratajskiego Square and Niepodległości Avenue.
During the renovation works, pedestrian crossings and bicycle crossings will be periodically closed through Solna Street at the height of Marcinkowskiego Avenue and Młyńska Street. These closures will be carried out alternately, allowing the use of one passage when the other is repaired.
The bus stop “Solna” will remain in its fixed location.
Strzeszyńska Street
Work is underway on Strzeszyńska Street, where the road surface is repaired. The investment is expected to end before the new school year (September).
At the end of last week, road users focused on laying the surface on the lane on the stretch from Sucholeska Street to Morszyńskiej Street.
During the work, the street is passable, although changes have been made in the organization of traffic – Strzeszyńska Street on the renovated section is one-way towards the Sroka roundabout. The investment was divided into several stages. Thanks to this implementation, it is possible to reduce the nuisance for traffic users.
Other renovation works
On Tuesday, July 30, residents of Poznań can expect traffic difficulties connected with planned renovation works. The Road Works will carry out works on two important streets of the city – Promienistej Street and Dąbrowskiego Street.
In addition, road surface repairs are already underway on several other streets. The works are carried out on Reymonta, Strzeszyńska, Engestroma and Łogodna Streets. The renovation works also began on the pedestrian-bike route along Niestachowska Street.
Drivers and pedestrians should pay special attention to the marking and adapt to the temporary organization of traffic in the places where the work is carried out. It is also recommended that alternative routes are used as far as possible, avoiding potential delays.
