Independence Day Information

Who's ready? We're ready! It's time for our Independence Day celebration!

 Here is the latest information:

The Independence Day event is from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Caserma Ederle, Track and Field & Surrounding Areas. It’s open to all DoD ID card holders and pre-registered guests. It’s our chance to celebrate the historic date in 1776 when the United States of America declared its independence from the United Kingdom.

• Access to Caserma Ederle will be allowed for DoD ID card holders and their approved guests who were pre-registered by June 24.
• Sign-in privileges to Caserma Ederle at the Main (Via Aldo Moro) Gate will be suspended starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the event.
• Sign-in privileges at the Chapel Gate (Viale Delle Pace) will be available only for pedestrians. Any guests signed in at Chapel Gate must get their ID and exit there.
• Registered guests must bring their event pass (emailed to their sponsor) and their ID Card. Sponsors are responsible for their registered guest while they are on post.

Getting on & off post for the event

Gate #1 (Main Gate / Via Aldo Moro):

• Normal access and sign in available until 1 p.m.
• After 1 p.m., entry only for DoD ID holders and pre-registered guests
• Exit remains open for outbound vehicles

Gate #2 (Chapel Gate/Viale delle Pace):

• Normal vehicle inbound traffic from 6 to 9 a.m.
• Pedestrian entry and exit remains open 24/7, pedestrian sign-in possible
• Normal vehicle outbound traffic open from 4 to 6 p.m.
• Vehicle Outbound open from 9 p.m. until the event is over

Gate #4 (Housing Gate / Via Casermette):

• Normal inbound vehicle & pedestrian traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Extended hours for vehicles & pedestrians from 6 to 10 p.m.
• No sign-in at Gate 4

Parking closures are at the following locations: Clinic parking lot / Along the track and field (No Name Road) / 9th Street / Health Clinic North / Ederle Inn West / Post Theater parking lot.

Be mindful of other parking closures (near the PX) due to construction
