Col. Maciej Mroczkowski has made history, being named the first Polish Security Assistance Liaison Officer (SALO) to establish an office for Poland at the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. SALOs have played a vital role in USASAC's foreign military sales process since the SALO Program’s inception over 30 years ago. Assigned to USASAC, SALOs from partner nations streamline logistics for their militaries by monitoring and influencing their cases and eliminating small discrepancies before they become major issues that can delay or even halt the process. This continual monitoring of complex cases is critical to a streamlined, successful process.
