REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama (April 13, 2023) – The commanding general of Army Materiel Command praised Army Contracting Command officials for being the “quiet professionals” who are passionate about the contracting mission April 6 here.

Gen. Charles Hamilton and Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy Sellers, the AMC command sergeant major, met with Brig. Gen. Christine Beeler, the ACC commanding general, Command Sgt. Maj. Julie Saorrono, the ACC command sergeant major, and ACC leaders to discuss how they deliver the power of Army contracting to win every day.

“Messaging is key to achieve shared understanding with our mission partners that enables us to be predictive in requirements to be precise with our effects,” Hamilton said. Transparency and shared vision combined with data analytics and automation will enable the ACC team to ensure those effects are felt around the globe.

During their visit, the AMC commanding general and command sergeant major, received an overview of how ACC enables mission success for the Army. Hamilton stressed the importance of predictive logistics when it comes to sustaining the warfighter. The four-star general added that the Combatant Commanders know ACC is a combat enabler that extends operational reach and tactical momentum.

AMC develops and delivers materiel readiness solutions to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities. As the Army’s lead materiel integrator, AMC officials manage the global supply chain, synchronizing logistics and sustainment activities across the Army.
