Brig. Gen. Brad Nicholson, Commanding General, United States Army Security Assistance Command, hosted a dedication ceremony in memory of Capt. Michael Aucoin, Royal Canadian Forces, Logistics Service/Army Branch on April 4, 2023 in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. Aucoin passed away while on assignment to USASAC in 2011. USASAC honors Aucoin with the naming of a conference room after him."Captain Michael Aucoin left his mark on USASAC and the SALO program," said Nicholson during the ceremony. "He was a rising star, and like that star that lit up a building and room, his legacy will continue on in this building with this room. From this day forward, this conference room will be called the Aucoin Room. It reflects what the Army refers to as LDRSHIP: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage. Captain Aucoin was fearless and represented the spirit and commitment of our allies and partners. This is our way of helping to ensure his legacy is always remembered."
