‘Sensing Session’ With Army Inspector General, IG Sergeant Major

Lt. Gen. Donna Martin, the U.S. Army inspector general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Larry Orvis, the IG sergeant major, will host a family quality-of-life “sensing session” May 12 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Bldg. 505 on Camp Zama (across from the Zama Chapel).

This sensing session is not a public event. It is limited to Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians and family members to allow for a candid dialogue with the Army IG team to address any concerns affecting quality of life in Japan.

The Army takes issues or concerns that affect Camp Zama families very seriously. Your candid and vital feedback will be taken directly to the secretary of the Army.

It is recommended that you park at the chapel, the Community Recreation Center or the Japan Engineer District parking lot.

No-Drone Zone

All U.S. Army in Japan installations are “no-drone zones,” meaning all drone usage is prohibited. That includes the very popular toy drones.

Also be advised that Japan has strict drone usage laws and if you intend to fly one off post, you should ensure you understand those laws.
