ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. — This year, save time and reduce stress by letting Top of the Bay cook you an Easter dinner. The promotion includes holiday ham, sides and dessert.
Head Chef Michael Artus-Cooper said all menu items come with easy cooking instructions and are oven-to-table ready.
“I will be making everything from scratch,” he said. “The good thing about [to-go meals] is you get a real meal made from a real chef. It is perfect and easy to reheat.”
The menu includes:
- Spiral holiday hams $35
- Garlic redskin mashed potatoes $10
- Sweet potato casserole $10
- Bacon-wrapped asparagus $10
- Roasted carrots $10
- Strawberry shortcake $15
All menu items are made to serve four people. By request, Easter candy will be given with every order for children.
Mother’s Day Brunch
Artus-Cooper said Top of the Bay will also offer to-go meals for Mother’s Day brunch, May 9. He said the menu will include a bacon and egg quiche, vegetarian frittata, biscuits and gravy, Caprese salad, bacon-wrapped asparagus, French toast bread pudding and chocolate mousse pudding with fresh raspberries. More details will follow as the holiday gets closer.
“Everyone can enjoy a wonderful Mother’s Day with no effort,” he said. “And no mess for Mom to clean up.”
Catering
Artus-Cooper said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Top of the Bay stopped its lunch service. Going forward, Top of the Bay will focus on event catering in smaller, more intimate settings. Artus-Cooper is working on revamping the Top of the Bay catering menu and brochure.
“We are here for business meetings, team-building exercises,” he said. “People can still come here and enjoy our meals.”
Top of the Bay also offers catering off-site to APG North (Aberdeen) and APG South (Edgewood) locations. Artus-Cooper said Top of the Bay can provide a personalized menu at the customer’s request. For example, he said, he can create a special menu for a luau or a baseball-themed event.
“Our menu is very flexible and has many options,” he said.
According to Artus-Cooper, when conditions are safer for larger gatherings, Top of the Bay will return to hosting special themed events like the Thanksgiving lunch and Easter brunch.
“We will be here for APG in the future,” he said.
