The Lee Theater Company opens its first KidKapers production with Grease, School version, a full-length musical comedy by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs, adapted for young performers and appropriate for all audiences.
Grease, School Version opens March 10 for a two-weekend run at the Lee Theater, Building 4300, 1100 Mahone Avenue on Fort Lee. Performances are March 10, 11, and 17 at 7 PM. and March 12, 18 and 19 at 2 PM, at the Lee Playhouse, Bldg. 4300, 1100 Mahone Ave. General Admission tickets are available at the door for $8.00 per person. Travel back in time to the summer of 1958 when good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fall for each other during a carefree summer fling. But when the school year begins, Danny is torn between his feelings for good-girl Sandy and his image with the Burger Palace Boys and the Pink Ladies. Come hear your favorites from the movie and the Broadway musical, including Hopelessly Devoted to You, in memory of Olivia Newton-John, Greased Lightnin’ and All Choked Up.
Director Suzi Redling, Musical Director Zachary Fortune, and Stage Manager Amber Cleveland present a cast of the communities finest young actors. The production team includes Kym Mincks, costumes, Joe Beaudet, set and light designer, and John (Red) Redling, sound designer. The cast have spent the past three months working hard to bring to life this play the whole family will love.
