USASAC’s Commanding General Brig. Gen. Brad Nicholson hosted a Polish delegation to discuss foreign military sales cases and security assistance Feb. 22. Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Nolbert, the Polish Defense, Military, Naval, and Air Attaché, sat with Nicholson, his deputy, Dr. Myra Gray, and USASAC’s Command Sgt. Maj. Stephen Burnley before visiting Anniston Army Depot. In April, Poland signed an agreement to acquire 250 M1A2 Abrams tanks from the United States. USASAC executes the U.S. Army's foreign military sales (FMS) program, a critical component of U.S. foreign policy. The command's FMS program builds partner capacity, supports Geographic Combatant Command strategies, and strengthens global partnerships in support of U.S. national security.
