  • Hometown: Terre Haute, IN
  • Time in service: 16 years
  • MOS: 2311 - Ammunition Technician

Why did you join the military?

"I grew up in a small town and didn't leave the state until I was 24. I had a son when I was young, and I eventually joined the Marine Corps in order to provide for him. The Marine Corps provided me an opportunity to build a life and a career, and now I'm a better man, father and leader. It has challenged me to live life as a modern day warrior."

What are your hobbies?

"I've been drawing since I was four, which led me to also become a tattoo artist. I love to tinker with vehicles - I built a Cadillac CTS with Lamborghini-style doors and other cool upgrades. Remodeling homes is also a hobby of mine."

Where was your favorite place to travel?

"I have been to 38 countries since I first left Indiana at 24. I loved visiting Thailand, but my other favorite would have to be Hawaii. It was my first duty station after I finished training at Redstone Arsenal. I was really living my best life there."
