FORT Lee, Va. — Auditions for the next youth production will be held Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Lee Playhouse, Building 4300 Mahone Avenue, Fort Lee, Virginia.

"Grease: School Version" is a full-length musical comedy by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs. Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fall for each other during a carefree summer fling. But when the school year begins, Danny is torn between his feelings for good-girl Sandy and his image with the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies

Director Suzi Reading seeks eight actresses and nine actors ages 12-18 for featured roles as well as an ensemble with featured solos and lines.

Those auditioning should prepare a one-minute musical theater singing selection with sheet music in the correct key (accompanist provided). Readings will be from the script and will be assigned during the audition process. Those auditioning should be dressed for dance movement.

Callbacks will be Monday, January 16 and/or 17 January starting at 6 p.m. Casting will be announced January 18 and rehearsals begin 21 January 21 at 1 p.m. Performance dates are weekends March 10-19.
