Below is a list of modified hours, closures and other information over the winter holiday period.
Monday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, 2023, are federal holidays and all garrison offices other than emergency services will be closed.
Friday, Dec. 23 is a U.S. Army Pacific training holiday and 25th Infantry Division day of no scheduled activity, or DONSA. Friday, Dec. 30 is a U.S. Army Pacific training holiday. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, is a 25th Infantry Division DONSA. Soldiers should check with their unit leadership to confirm whether they have a day off or not.
On training holidays, garrison offices are open but customers going to offices with uniformed staff may experience longer wait times than usual.

Health care - Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic
- Dec. 24: Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will close early at 3 p.m.
- Dec. 25: Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will be closed
- Dec. 26: Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will be open
- Dec. 31: Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will close early at 3 p.m.
- Jan. 1: Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will be closed
- Jan. 2: Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will be open
- Note: Beginning Jan. 16, 2023, the Urgent Care Clinic and Pharmacy will be closed on federal holidays
Holiday leave periods
- U.S. Army Pacific's reduced holiday work schedule is Dec. 19-Jan. 2, 2023.
- The 25th Infantry Division's winter block leave period is Dec. 17-Jan. 3, 2023.
- Soldiers should check with their unit leadership to confirm their schedule during the holiday period.
Island Palm Communities
- Offices will close early Friday, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30 at 3 p.m.
- Offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, 2023
Pools will be operating on the following modified schedule during the holiday weekends in December as follows:
- Open for normal business on the Friday prior to the holiday (12/23/2022 & 12/30/2022)
- Early closure at 2:00pm on Saturday prior to the holiday (12/24/2022 & 12/31/2022)
- Pools will be closed for the holiday (12/25/2022 & 1/1/2023)
- Open for normal business on Monday following the holiday (12/26/2022 & 1/2/2022)
- IPC pools will be closed for maintenance on the following Tuesdays: 12/27/2022 & 1/3/2023

Recreation (other than MWR)
- The Tropic Lightning Musuem will be closed Dec. 27-Jan. 6, 2023. They will resume normal operations Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023.
Retail
- All commissaries on island will close Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. and will be closed all day Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2023.

Schools
- All public schools are on school break from Dec. 19-30
- Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 are federal holidays and administrative offices will be closed
- Jan. 3 is a teacher work day and there is no school for students
Single Soldier holiday meal
- The Schofield Barracks USO will hold a Christmas lunch for single Soldiers Dec. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Service members should bring their ID. The meal is first-come, first-served and are while supplies last.
- The Schofield USO is located in Bldg. 586, 208 Trimble Rd.
