On Friday, Oct. 14, the Navy’s water system experienced a major water line break that disrupted water pressure and potability.
This webpage has information for Aliamanu Military Reservation and Red Hill housing areas. Additional information for all other affected areas is available at https://cnrh.cnic.navy.mil/Installations/JB-Pearl-Harbor-Hickam/JBPHH-Water-Main-Break-Information/.
Repairs are in progress. Users on the water system may experience pressure fluctuations during partial system restoration.
A water conservation advisory is currently in effect.
To supplement water availability, water distribution points have been set up. (As of Oct. 21, all water distribution points have closed.)
Water Conservation Advisory
Due to the water main breaks, the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam water system cannot supply normal demand levels. Conserving water is critical to maintaining service to all users, and helps speed up repairs.
Residents can help conserve water by:
- Not watering lawns or washing vehicles
- Taking short showers
- Shutting off water when not in use
- Immediately reporting any leaks, drops in water pressure or loss of water to your maintenance line at (808) 457-4075
Boil Water Advisory
Based on water quality tests at Aliamanu Military Reservation and Red Hill, the boil water advisory is rescinded effective Oct. 17. The Hawaii Department of Health concurs with the assessment that your water is clean and safe to drink.
