Secure, convenient and accessible: New Amazon Hub Locker arrives at JBM-HH

JOINT BASE MYER-HENDERSON HALL, Va., -- Shopping on Amazon is easier than ever because you can now pick up your packages from the Amazon Hub Locker unit located on the Myer campus of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall.

The new locker, installed in September, is up and running at the Express Shopette by the Panda Express. AAFES General Manager Alex Mamaril is excited to provide another shipping option for customers.

“The Amazon locker allows customers to have their packages delivered to a lock box that is secured and convenient,” said Mamaril.

Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Commander Col. David Bowling shares the same sentiment about the new service.

“Here at the joint base, we put our people first,” said Bowling. “By installing an Amazon locker that service members and their families can access conveniently without ever having to leave the installation, we are keeping our promise of providing top notch services.”

How it works: 

Step 1) At Amazon check out use the “pick up locations” category and type in the zip code – 22211

Step 2) Choose 22211, Arlington County, Virginia, United States

Step 3) Select the locker Amazon Hub Locker – Alfano

Step 4) Complete your purchase

After a customer orders an item from Amazon and that item has been delivered to the Alfano locker, the customer will receive a digital pick-up code via email or text.

When the customer enters the unique pick-up code into the locker’s touch screen via the keypad, the assigned door opens for package retrieval.

Customers must collect packages within three calendar days, or the package will be taken back, and the customer will be provided a refund.

The locker can also be used for package returns.
