The Freedom Fiesta is a month long series of recreational events for Soldiers and their Families, sponsored by AUSA and the civilian community at minimal cost to participants. The Fiesta begins in May with a free picnic for all Soldiers and their Families and ends with a July 4th celebration, Viva el Paso performances, a night at the Speedway car races, and a charity golf tournament.
El Paso Community College Scholarship Programs
The El Paso Community College has Scholarship Programs that establish endowments for $100,000 for military spouses. For more information visit www.epcc.edu.
Job Center online
The Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce hosts a job center online where spouses of military members can seek employment and post their resumes, enabling clients to match to the resume qualifications.
Job Center for Spouses
The Job Center for Spouses, provided thru a grant from the Rio Grande Workforce Commission, teaches resume writing, interview techniques, and how to prepare for the job market. For more information visit http://www.urgjobs.com.
