Eglin Air Force Base, Florida - The 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Property Book Office (PBO) won the Fiscal Year 22 Headquarters, Department of the Army Chief of Staff Supply Excellence Award (SEA), August 1, 2022. The U.S. Army Chief of Staff awards an Army supply unit each year in order to enhance and recognize the logistical readiness of the Army Quartermaster Corps.

The 7th SFG (A) PBO won the award after demonstrating success in supervisory and managerial responsibilities, compliance with the Army standard supply policy and procedures, devotion to the Command Supply Discipline Program, and adherence to the Army management philosophy.

Chief Warrant Officer II Gustavo Salvador, 7th SFG(A) Property Book Officer said “This means a lot. We show our sister units that we, 7th Group are doing the right thing and we have the Command’s support to enforce the supply disciplines.”

U.S. Army G4 inspected the 7th SFG (A) PBO and found the office to be at the highest standards of supply excellence within the U.S. Army. They are accountable for more than 170,000 pieces of U.S. Army P2 (Army-specific equipment) and USSOCOM Major Funded Program P11 equipment (Special Operations Forces-specific equipment) valued at over $900 Million.

The SEA goes hand in hand with the Command Supply Discipline Program. “This wouldn’t be possible without the command support” said CW2 Salvador, “This takes dedication. I had to talk to my team before we started this journey in order for us to be fully committed. This cannot be done in just one day, it takes a lot of emphasis and teamwork; early mornings and working late.”

He added that the 7th SFG(A) PBO is a tight-knit organization, and each member of the team serves a vital role. The competition highlights the passion the group has for logistics. “Team members want to come to work. They always work hard and having the command’s support is a factor.”

From here, the PBO is now selected to compete at the Department of Defense Level within the United States Special Operations Command (USASOC).
