FORT KNOX, Ky. — The Fort Knox Education Center is preparing to host its 6th Annual All-Schools College Graduation ceremony in Waybur Theater Oct. 21.

The ceremony, which will include anyone who graduated in the past or is expected to graduate in December, will begin at 1:30 p.m. Education Center officials say their staff plans and organizes each annual ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of Soldiers, family members and members of the Fort Knox community.

“Often, many Soldiers and family members earn their degrees online and do not have the opportunity to participate in a traditional graduation ceremony due to proximity to their school, timing or other barriers,” said Rella Braxton, Education Services officer. “The all-schools graduation ceremony eliminates those obstacles, allowing graduates from multiple schools to participate.”

Guest speakers this year will include Maj. Gen. Johnny Davis, senior commanding general of Fort Knox, Dr. Wes Smith, associate director of Army Credentialing and Continuing Education Services for Soldiers (HQ ACCESS), and a student speaker who will be announced later.

The ceremony is open to all Army civilians and Soldiers as well as their family members. For more information about the ceremony, contact Education Services specialist Aumbrea Sanders through email at aumbrea.s.sanders.civ@army.mil.

Applications to participate in the graduation ceremony will be accepted through Sept. 30.
