FORT EUSTIS, Va. — Members of the 597th Transportation Brigade's Ocean Cargo Clearance Authorities (OCCA) Contracting and Quality Assurance Team met with commercial partners at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. Aug. 16-17.

"The face-to-face meetings served as an opportunity to keep the lines of communication open and strengthened our ability to work as a Total Force," according to Bil Letchford, OCCA Booking Chief.

"Our Industry Partners are more than just partners, they are on the SDDC Team," Letchford added.

The 597th Transportation Brigade Contracting and Quality Assurance Team is responsible for managing the execution of contracts/agreements for multi-modal and ocean liner services and ensuring that operations and traffic management decisions are in compliance with their terms and conditions.

"Now that Covid is slowing down I hope to see more of you guys," said David DeBoer, senior manager, Liberty Global Logistics, "Regular communication and information flow is vital to keep the cargo booking processes running smoothly."

Liberty Global Logistics (LGL), an American owned company, is a Roll on/Roll Off Carrier that is a Maritime Security Program (MSP) and Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) participant. LGL is a U.S. Transportation Command Universal Service Contract 9 (USC 09) holder providing global Roll on/Roll Off Ocean Transportation and logistics services in support of the US Military's global activities.
