FORT KNOX, Ky. — The commanding general of U.S. Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox and the Fort Knox Retiree Council will host this year’s Retiree Appreciation Day Oct. 14.

The one-day event, once again scheduled in Saber & Quill, will feature several information booths and briefings by community leaders to demonstrate Fort Knox’s ongoing commitment to and appreciation for retired Soldiers, and to foster continued support for the U.S. Army’s current Soldiers and their Families.

Some of the services available on the day include assistance with medical screenings, vaccinations, identification cards, and powers of attorney, spread throughout the Signature, Lincoln and Legacy rooms.

The event will begin in the Heritage Room at 9 a.m. with welcoming remarks from the chair of the Fort Knox Retiree Council, and will conclude by 2 p.m. The day will also afford retirees an opportunity to stop by the main Exchange, commissary and other installation businesses.
