SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii — U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii officially welcomed its new senior enlisted advisor, today, at 2:30 p.m.
Command Sgt. Maj. Derek G. Wise assumed responsibility as the senior enlisted advisor for the command during a ceremony here with guests, family and friends attending.
“Command Sgt. Maj. Wise provides the leadership to our Soldiers, Army civilians, families, volunteers and across the entire installation team of teams,” said Col. Dan Misigoy, U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii commander.
Wise arrived in Hawaii in May and was previously assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
“This is my commitment. This garrison community will always find a way to take care of our families and the community,” Wise said.
Wise resides in Wahiawa in Army family housing with his wife and two children.
