SZCZECIN, Poland – C Company, Allied Forces North Battalion bid farewell to their senior enlisted Soldier July 21.

“It is bittersweet to leave this incredible organization,” said 1st Sgt. Rosalyn Bennett. “I truly enjoyed caring for the Soldiers and their families across seven countries in our area of responsibility.”

Sgt. 1st Class Shavon Jones will assume responsibility for the unit until Bennett’s replacement arrives.

“She is a great noncommissioned officer that will lead C Company well until the incoming first sergeant arrives to officially assume responsibility for the company,” said Bennett.

Bennet moves on to a prestigious assignment in the National Capital Region.

“The company is sad to see 1st Sgt. Bennet go, but grateful for her continued service,” said Capt. Matthew Henderson, C Company commander. “She has dedicated her time and skill to ensure the readiness and quality of life for U.S. service members across the eastern front of NATO.”

Jones, who has been serving in the unit since January as the senior human resources noncommissioned officer, came to C Company from Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where she served as a senior drill sergeant with 3rd Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment.

“We're excited to welcome Sgt. 1st Class Jones into the first sergeant billet, and we know that she will use her skills to provide world class service and support,” said Henderson.

“I am excited to take on the challenge of serving as Charlie Company's first sergeant, and I am looking forward to what the future will bring,” Jones said.
