Conrad Bonner, the deputy director for CENTCOM Regional Operations, U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC), spoke to hundreds of attendees about the Army’s foreign military sales (FMS) program at the 31st annual Showcase for Commerce June 2-3, 2022, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The Showcase for Commerce is a nationally renowned business and industry tradeshow and defense contracting exhibition. Among this year’s attendees were government acquisition leaders; major defense corporations and subcontractors; and regional, national and multi-national exhibitors. USASAC executes the Army's FMS program for materiel and services. As part of the Army's Security Assistance Enterprise, USASAC works closely with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation (DASA (DE&C), and serves as the U.S. Army Materiel Command's FMS proponent. The Life Cycle Management Commands, Army Contracting Command and U.S. industry are also crucial to the enterprise's success.
