Trial results for Special Operations NCO for domestic dispute

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The court martial process for Staff Sgt. David Rankine, a Soldier assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command – South, concluded on May 17.

Pursuant to Rankine’s offer to plead guilty, he was convicted of committing a violent domestic assault, aggravated assault, illegal use and importation of anabolic steroids, illegal use of cocaine, and violations of military orders not to consume alcohol and not to contact his spouse.

Rankine was sentenced to five years and one month confinement, a dishonorable discharge, and to be reduced to the rank of E-4.
