1 / 3 Show Caption + Hide Caption – Soldiers from the 130th Engineer Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, 10th Support Group and Papua New Guinea Defense Forces participate in an opening ceremony to start Tamiok Strike 2022 in Port Moresby on March 21. The ceremony gave the 130th ENG and PNG Defense forces the opportunity to become acquainted with one another. TKS22 is a bilateral Army to Army military exercise between United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) and the PNG forces. The exercise is a USARPAC Theater Security Cooperation event with the PNG, conducted at the Brigade/Battalion level, which focuses on key U.S. and PNG training requirements. TKS22 directly assist USARPAC to enhance partner land force capabilities to develop military interoperability, maintaining access to demonstrate regional security commitment, and exchange Army Tactic, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
