Tell us about your job and what you do:

I provide leadership and guidance plus manage and promote a safe working environment for 42 Korean National employees. I also supervise and coordinate the daily operations of our Laundry and Dry Cleaning facility. I am the QML primary hand receipt holder and maintain accountability of 132 pieces of QML equipment worth $2.6 million. As of December 2021, I have turned in 53 pieces of unserviceable and excess equipment worth $902,304. Currently I am providing the condition, specifications, acquisition date, programmed replacement year and life expectancy of laundry equipment that is suitable for relocation to USAG Humphreys.

How long have you been in this position?

I have been in this position for nine months.

What other duties are you responsible for?

As part of our unit’s efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, I conduct antigen tests for Logistics Readiness Center-North employees who work at Yongsan Garrison in Seoul, and K-16. [K-16, also known as Seoul Air Base, is an Army airfield located on the Southeastern side of Seoul across the Han River from Yongsan.] I am an appointed safety representative and perform safety inspections of our facilities and am also a noncombatant evacuation operations representative.

How long have you been in the U.S. Army?

I have been working for the U.S Army for almost eighteen years.

What other positions have you held in the Army?

I have worked in the Army as a supply sergeant, senior supply sergeant, platoon sergeant, squad leader, Equal Opportunity leader, unit armorer, property book NCO, property book clerk and supply clerk.

What is the best thing about working at LRC-North?

The best thing about working at LRC-North is seeing my leadership knowledge, experience and expertise considered and implemented on a daily basis. Getting a better understanding of the Korean Nationals, building trust and stronger more cohesive teams.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to watch soccer and movies.

Do you have a special skill or talent you would like to share?

Yes, I am also a trained auto and heavy diesel mechanic.

What is your personal motto/philosophy?

To live in peace and harmony with others, and give a helping hand to those in need.
