Brig. Gen. Philippe de Montenon, deputy commander of the French Cyber Command and his colleagues met with CCOE leadership, led by CCOE and Fort Gordon commander Brig. Gen. Paul T. Stanton, and the deputy commander of U.S. Army Cyber Command's Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber, Brig. Gen. Ryan M. Janovic.

The meeting advanced interoperability and capacity between U.S. and French cyber forces, providing both with greater combined ability to enhance their cyber agility and support tactical, operational and strategic objectives and agile, effective decision-making.

The event is an extension of the longstanding U.S.-French collaboration in cyberspace. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III recently highlighted the value of that partnership in defeating malicious adversaries in cyberspace.

"I know you have also made cybersecurity a top priority, and that France has developed a cybersecurity strategy to mitigate risk and increase its capabilities," Austin said. "Our countries have a strong shared interest in protecting our critical infrastructure and that of our allies, including cyber infrastructure, and that's a foundation for our future cooperation in the area of technological infrastructure more broadly."
