ALIAMANU MILITARY RESERVATION, Hawaii – In response to the ongoing water crisis the U.S. Army formed “Task Force Ohana” to provide assistance to residents of the Aliamanu Military Reservation (AMR) and Red Hill. Over 250 Soldiers from 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regt. are going door-to-door delivering potable water on both AMR and Red Hill. Additionally, 32,000 gallons of water have been dispatched from the Wahiawa well on Schofield Barracks for distribution to impacted military communities. The task force is manning the “Ohana” help desk at the AMR Community Center, which offers lodging and medical support.

Water distribution stations are currently operational at the following locations:

  • Aliamanu Child Development Center Parking Lot
  • Aliamanu Express Parking Lot
  • Red Hill (1217 Icarus Way)

Shower stations are available for displaced residents effective immediately at the following locations:

  • Fort Shafter Gym
  • Helemano Gym
  • Martinez Gym
  • Richardson Pool
  • Tripler Gym

AMR and Red Hill residents in need of temporary lodging should visit the help desk located at the AMR community center for assistance. Both AMR and Red Hill are housing areas run by the U.S. Army. Updated information will be shared on the U.S. Army – Hawaii Garrison webpage at https://home.army.mil/hawaii/index.php/water and on the garrison and 25th Infantry Division social media platforms.
