FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. — Led by Director Ted York, the Directorate of Resource Management’s primary mission is to obtain and efficiently manage the resources — manpower and financial — required to support Fort Leonard Wood’s goals.

“The missions, functions and support of the garrison directorates is integral to the overall mission of Fort Leonard Wood and to each and every Soldier, family member, civilian and visitor to this installation,” York said. “Our job is to ensure each of those organizations have the proper budget and the right mix of manpower to successfully accomplish their missions.”

The organization is made up of two divisions, the Budget Division, which is responsible for the programming and execution of the garrison budget, and the Manpower Division, which manages the Garrison Tables of Distribution and Allowances — the manpower and equipment for the garrison.

The Manpower Division is also responsible for developing and maintaining all agreements for the garrison, internal controls and contract support to the other garrison directorates.

According to York, Resource Management directly supports the garrison directorates, but also indirectly supports everyone on the installation.

“The resources we help obtain and manage are used to create and maintain the infrastructure of the installation, such as the buildings, roads, training areas, airfield and emergency services,” he said. “We also assist the Directorate of Public Works and the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation to manage the recycle budget that helps fund things like the 4th of July celebration.”
