The U.S. Army's Twilight Tattoo returns as a web series for 2021!

The U.S. Army Military District of Washington’s summer tradition of presenting The U.S. Army’s Twilight Tattoo continues this year as an eight episode web series.

“The Tattoo celebrates America’s Army, the strength of our nation,” said Army Chief of Staff Gen. James C. McConville in the first episode. “We will share our Army story virtually, in weekly chapters that will show how America’s Army and the nation it serves, have grown since our founding in 1775.”

The U.S. Army’s Twilight Tattoo is a time-honored tradition with vignettes that provide a glimpse into history through the eyes of the American Soldier.

“Our nation’s greatest generations are built on the strength of America’s strongest citizens, servicemen and women in uniform,” said Gen. McConville.

The show is an action-packed military pageant featuring Soldiers from the U.S. Army Military District of Washington’s ceremonial units, the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own.”

Featured performances by The U.S. Army Blues, The U.S. Army Band Downrange, The U.S. Army Voices, the Commander-in-Chief’s Guard, The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, the Caisson Platoon, the Continental Color Guard and the U.S. Army Drill Team combine precision and discipline with superb musicianship.

Twilight Tattoo has been presented by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington for the last 60 years in the National Capital Region.

The first episode premiered May 5 on the command's digital platforms. The series will continue every Wednesday, 7 p.m. EDT, throughout May and June. Episodes are available for viewing on the Twilight Tattoo website, U.S. Army Military District of Washington Facebook Page, and on YouTube.
