To the Army Family,

I am honored and humbled to assume the responsibilities of the senior official performing the duties of the Under Secretary of the Army.

Thank you to all of you - the extraordinary men and women, military and civilians, and your families who make our Army the strongest in the world. I have served as an enlisted Marine and for the last 31 years as a career Army civilian, which has allowed me to see our Army in peace and war.

You are, and will remain, our #1 priority as the Army transitions to new civilian leadership. There is no doubt that our Army remains ready to meet any challenge, anywhere in the world.

Thank you for your service to our Army and our Nation.

Christopher J. Lowman

Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Under Secretary of the Army
