Fort Knox will feed hungry ‘pilgrims’ at traditional Nov. 25 Thanksgiving lunch

FORT KNOX, Ky. — Fort Knox officials have announced plans to provide a high-quality traditional Thanksgiving lunch to the community at Cantigny Dining Facility Nov. 25.

Several military and civilian community leaders will serve the meal from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the season and show appreciation to all military personnel and their families, federal employees and retirees. The following units and organizations are expected to eat the meal at the following designated times:

  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: U.S. Army Garrison, U.S. Army Cadet Command, U.S. Army Human Resources Command, U.S. Army Recruiting Command and V Corps
  • 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.: Army Reserve Aviation Command, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, First Army Division East and 4th Cavalry Multifunctional Training Brigade, Army Reserve Careers Group, 19th Engineer Battalion (see command)
  • 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.: 100th Training Division, 84th Training Command, 19th Engineer Battalion (see command), Medical Activity, Dental Activity, PHA

Cost of the meal is $9.20 for officers, enlisted and non-meal card holders E-5 and above. For families of enlisted members below E-5, the cost is $6.85 per person. Those attending the lunch are required to wear facial coverings while inside, except when sitting down to eat the meal.

COVID restrictions and safety precautions may necessitate changes prior to the event based on the current situation and medical recommendations.
