ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT, Ala. -- Bill McDuffie is Anniston Army Depot’s director of Information Management, effective Aug. 30.
A native of Millbrook, Alabama, McDuffie comes to the depot from Fort Gordon, where he served as the deputy director for their Network Enterprise Center since February 2019.
McDuffie served in the Army from 1984 to 2005, beginning his service as an infantryman and retiring as an air traffic controller.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer and management information systems from Troy University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
McDuffie began his civilian career with the Army at Fort Hood, Texas, where he served until 2010, when he was accepted for a position with the 7th Signal Command headquarters in Fort Gordon.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity and privilege of serving as the next director for Information Management,” he said. “It is truly an honor to join the ANAD team - committed to excellence and serving the war fighter.”
McDuffie succeeds Randy Heflin, who has served as DOIM director since 2010.
Heflin recently accepted a position with the Army Materiel Command G-6 in Huntsville. He departs Sept. 10.
“After nearly 38 years of federal service, with 30 at ANAD, living in five countries and traveling to more than 30 others, as well as 44 states, ANAD will always be home,” said Heflin.
