The U.S. Army South Commanding General Maj. Gen. Daniel R. Walrath (center) provides a virtual brief with Army South Security Cooperation Division personnel to Maj. Gen. Luis Altamirano, commander, Ecuadorian Army, and other key leaders on the topic, “Knowledge as a Pillar of U.S. Army Transformation,” Aug. 20. During the presentation, historical examples of U.S. Army transformation led to discussing the Army’s current modernization efforts to transform into a multi-domain force by 2035. This approach integrates the elements of doctrine, organizations, training, materiel, leader development and education, personnel, facilities and policy (DOTMLPF-P) within the Army, with other Joint Force elements, and alongside allies and partners.
